Kel-mmotion Around the League

Get your popcorn ready because there’s been another trade, but the aftermath that ensued may be the bigger story. Full details of the trade below:

This deal between the Hogs and Dawgs has been in motion for months now. First reports were the Hogs were looking to obtain Kelce in a deal surrounding Dalvin Cook. They even brought a third team into the deal in efforts to find a solution

What was unclear at the time is now coming to light as the Hogs were in deep contact with Bread ‘N’ Butter in efforts to land the star tight end from the Dawgs. The deal became too complicated and talks cooled down to be revisited some time in the future.

Fast forward a few weeks and this thing moved quickly. We’ve heard the trade discussion was very quick and easy between two franchises who hold the upmost respect for one another.

A few minutes later and the deal was final. The Hogs land their long time target and the Dawgs get a few more players with upside on their team who are ready to rumble and push this team over the line and into the playoffs.

While a potential deal has been in the works for some time, the suddenness of the completion of the actual deal took many around the league by surprise. An uproar came from a few unsettled franchises who wouldn’t dare overreact. Unpleasantries were exchanged in what was close to becoming an ugly stain on this storied league. Questions of what are they doing, and how could they fell on deaf ears as both teams involved in the trade are simply trying to put their best team out on the field each week.

As for how these teams will look moving forward the Big Dawgs are now in possession of a much needed second running back as season ending injuries to Javonte Williams and Breece Hall threw a wrench in their plans. Add in the promising and downright electric Kadarius Toney and we may be looking back on this trade differently in a few weeks. TJ Hockenson, who’s no slouch himself, looks to fill Kelce’s Great Dane sized paws. Meanwhile, the Hogs add a true star to a room that already has a few of their own. On paper, the Hogs look to be a serious contender, but with uncertainty still surrounding the health of star wideout Ja’Marr Chase much is still up in the air.
