Trick or Trade

Read Time:2 Minute, 19 Second

The Batman masks are off and the trade is already in the rear view mirror as these players have quickly settled into their new respective homes. Full breakdown of the trade here:

If you’ve been following along, which we’re sure you have been, A Shot and A Beer have recently been very active in efforts to find someone to run the ball for their storied franchise.

While nothing came to fruition on that day leaving A Shot and a Beer frustrated, and at times disgusted at what they perceived to be disrespect from potential business partners. Some reports suggest they even stormed out of a meeting with Hogs, Inc. in efforts to acquire Dalvin Cook on that same day.

With that deal seemingly dead in the water, they quickly started calling around the league and had the paper work written up to complete a deal with The Crockpot Boys

However the Crockpot Boys ultimately were not ready to pull the trigger as Lamar Jackson was already warming up for Thursday Night Football and questions were being asked if the League Commissioner would be able to fulfill his duties and push the deal through on such short notice.

With no one seemingly willing to deal with A Shot and a Beer, it was time for them to take a short break and reflect on what they’ve done and how they will move forward.

Similarly Hogs, Inc. were still in a state of shock and morning on this fateful Thursday

Fast forward until Week 8 eve, and all three of the aforementioned teams found themselves refreshed and ready to do business. But between who?

Their (birthday) wish was made as both Hogs, Inc. and A Shot and a Beer were able to find the fairway to get this deal out of the rough and in the hole. Talks of a deal with this same foundation of AJ Brown for Dalvin Cook started all the way back on draft night, and seven weeks later we have the completed picture.

6 Touchdowns for the players the following day left this blockbuster adding up a lot of points in week 8 for both teams. At long last, A Shot and a Beer have a running back, and a very good one at that. Promising young star wideout Garrett Wilson looks to be a part of A Shot and a Beer’s present and future for a long time as well. Hogs, Inc. get their guy in AJ Brown to stack together with our future president, Jalen Hurts as well as an insurance plan in Tyler Boyd to fill in while Ja’Marr Chase battles injury.

What are your thoughts on the trade? Any winners or losers?(required)
